Port Sunlight Village Trust

Smithers Purslow have been acting as Conservation Consultants to The Port Sunlight Village Trust since 2005. This work initially involved the production of the Conservation & Management Plan for the Village which consisted of surveys to over 950 listed buildings within an area of two sq. miles. This ‘magnum opus’ has recently been revised and updated for The Trust.

Latter work has included the repair & restoration of the War Memorial at the heart of the Village. This was previously grade 2 listed but was elevated to Grade 1 status after the restoration works.

After the Cenotaph it is the second largest war memorial in Britain with 26.no separate bronze art works.
