Gateley Smithers Purslow

As a prominent business and employer we have a duty to understand our environmental impact and to lower our carbon footprint. As such, we are committed to ensuring our operations become net carbon neutral during 2022.

The nature of our business inevitably involves an element of travel for projects and we need offices for our operations.  However, we are rethinking how we do this to reach the carbon neutral goal. This includes combining site visits, using alternative means of transport and fuel, video-conferencing meetings with clients, lowering our energy consumption, and reviewing our buildings for energy efficiency.

In addition, in advising clients we are committed to promoting sustainable construction products and processes, and training our teams to become experts in this field.

We have attained ISO 14001, the international standard for environmental management systems. Additionally, we have a Chartered Environmentalist and Environmental Champions to support our journey towards lowering our footprint and our clients’ projects.
