St Paul’s Parsonage

In agreement with the client it was determined that the replacement parsonage building for St Paul’s Church in Heaton Moor would be designed to Passivhaus standards. Passivhaus being a very energy efficient form of building that is air-tight and well insulated to reduce heat loss and uses mechanical systems to redistribute heat throughout the building.

As the building is located in a Conservation Area we had the added challenge that the design of the building and the external materials of the building had to meet the strict requirements of the local planning department.
