Friday 19th May 2017 – 3rd Annual ‘ILoveClaims’ Networking Lunch

The ‘ILoveClaims’ Networking Lunch is now only 6 weeks away.

It’s on Friday 19th May 2017, at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London.
As well as proving to be an extremely beneficial & successful networking event, it is a chance to meet new faces and indeed even to put a face to that familiar voice.

This year’s guest speaker has now been announced as Jeffery Archer.

A word about Guest Speaker Jeffery Archer:

Jeffery Archer has an exhausting and wide-ranging list of achievements which probably make him one the most interesting speakers ILC has ever invited.

At Oxford, he was President of the University Athletics Club and ran the 100 yards for Great Britain in 1966 in 9.6 seconds.

Aged 29, he became Conservative MP for Louth.

Aged 34, he resigned from the House of Commons after a disastrous investment that left him with debts of £427,727.

He resolved to repay his creditors by writing his first novel, aptly titled “Not a Penny More, Not a Penny Less”.
To date he has written 21 novels, 3 non-fiction books and 7 volumes of short stories.
He is now published in 97 countries and in more than 33 languages.

He was Deputy Chairman of the Conservative Party 1985 – 1986 and become a Life Peer in 1992.
In 2001, he served two years in prison having been charged with perjury and conspiracy to pervert the cause of justice, an experience he has written about.
As an amateur auctioneer, he has raised more than £24 million for charity.
He has collected art for over 40 years and his personal collection includes works by Bonnard, Dufy, Vuillard, Sisley and Pissarro.
He has been married for over 50 years to Dame Mary Archer.

There are not too many occasions in life that allow us to listen to or even to meet someone who is this ‘extra-ordinary’ in every sense of the word.

As a candid, confident and forthright speaker, Jeffery’s experiences and insights will make for a memorable lunch.
