Smithers Purslow Property Services is a multi disciplinary practice with a core of Consulting Civil & Structural Engineers and Building Surveyors. Based in Rutland, it offers services to a wide range of public and private sector clients across the United Kingdom.

Established in 1977, we offer full structural design services together with site supervision and project management if required. The Practice has considerable expertise in dealing with domestic and commercial buildings insurance claims, from fires and floods to subsidence, heave and landslip. Smithers Purslow is experienced in the design and supervision of projects ranging from small buildings to large structural and civil engineering schemes. Designs are formulated with value and 'build-ability' in mind and practical advice is offered during the construction stage.

Our Building Surveyors offer professional advice on all aspects of building from design to refurbishment, adaptation, alteration and repair. Specialist Surveys are available in the fields of party wall, asbestos, boundary disputes and expert witness reports. The Insurance Department now handles over one thousand claims per anum.
